PILOT HOUSE SHELTER

Program Description:

Pilot House's general goal is to provide shelter to chronically homeless adults who want to regain their health, sobriety and stability. A collaborative effort between CACCI and the Duffy Health Center, Pilot House is a modified therapeutic community model shelter in which clients work together and independently with a desired outcome of being able to transition to more permanent or supportive housing. This nightly shelter was developed for hard-to-reach, chronically homeless adults with active substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders, who were ineligible for shelter elsewhere due to these conditions. Currently Pilot House offers numerous support services, which include: daily medical check-ins, case management, and referrals to numerous community agencies.
